Wine bar at our campsite in Montsoreau

Camping l’Isle Verte has a lovely bar with a terrace facing the swimming pool. On balmy summer afternoons, you can enjoy a drink or an ice cream with the family. This cosy bar is now a wine bar. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine from one of the local Saumur and Anjou producers we’ve selected for you. On the menu, you’ll find a wide range of Anjou wines, from Crémant de Loire, white and rosé to the famous Saumur- Champigny. You can also watch TV broadcasts of major sporting events.

The bar at the Isle verte campsite serves breakfasts with hot drinks, pastries and fruit juices. Ideal for getting the day off to a good start before exploring the Loire Valley and Saumur vineyards.

Camping l’Isle Verte in Montsoreau nestles in a region of rare cultural richness. Around Montsoreau and Saumur, be sure to discover the troglodytic dwellings carved out of the tufa stone on the slopes beside the Loire, as well as the superb cellars that run several kilometres underground in the region, such as the Ackerman cellar in Saumur. The white tufa stone has given its identity to the buildings around Montsoreau, such as the splendid Fontevraud Abbey where Richard the Lionheart is buried. A must-see for any stay in Saumur is the Cadre Noir and its equestrian shows. Children will love Doué la Fontaine Zoo, where animals from all over the world live in old stone quarries.
