4-star campsite with restaurant in Saumur

Restaurant with local specialities and à la carte Anjou wines

Camping l’Isle verte has a pleasant restaurant where it’s a pleasure to dine. On the menu you’ll find simple, delicious dishes using local produce, home-made pizzas and a special plancha option. The terrace, which is partially covered, is a pleasant place to enjoy the mild summer evenings in the Loire Valley. On this terrace you will also find grill tables where you can cook a selection of meats yourself. We can also offer you tapas based on local specialities. We have a fine selection of wines produced exclusively by local producers. We also offer a wide range of breakfasts, half-board meals and special group packages. Once a week in high season, our restaurant welcomes a live band for a guinguette evening with a themed meal. A friendly atmosphere, good music and delicious food! Our restaurant is closed on Monday evenings. However, in the village of Montsoreau, just 200 metres from the campsite, you’ll find plenty of open restaurants.

Nature and heritage around your campsite in Saumur

Camping l’Isle Verte in Montsoreau nestles in a region of rare cultural richness. Around Montsoreau and Saumur, be sure to discover the troglodytic dwellings carved out of the tufa stone on the slopes beside the Loire, as well as the superb cellars that run several kilometres underground in the region, such as the Ackerman cellar in Saumur. The white tufa stone has given its identity to the buildings around Montsoreau, such as the splendid Fontevraud Abbey where Richard the Lionheart is buried. A must-see for any stay in Saumur is the Cadre Noir and its equestrian shows. Children will love Doué la Fontaine Zoo, where animals from all over the world live in old stone quarries.
